Le chant du monde

The title of the installation takes up the short story by Jean Giono written in 1934 in the collection Solitude de la Pitié and read in a cow refuge in the Alpstein mountains, on the border between Switzerland and Austria.

The video installation is an artist's walk through four solitary experiences. The creeks of Marseille whose night experience was guided by the moon, the island of Barra in Scotland where the paths must be imagined to be taken, nineteen hours of walking along the Portuguese coast, from Porto, and the Alpstein mountains where the chaos of the mountain still preserves them from modernity.
